Hanging Out at the Wall of Free Speech
Monica and I had dinner in Charlottesville with our gracious host, John Hunter, at the historic mall. Charlottesville is home to the University of Virginia which was founded by Thomas Jefferson so the Wall of Free Speech has even greater meaning because of its proximity to the school and to the many students who express their profound and mundane thoughts equally in bright, bold colors. We were there in front of the wall, without any chalk though, so we could not add our two cents to these pithy messages. We’ll just have to go back (and we’re making chalk a part of our travel kit — permanently!)
