Teachers Imagine the C3 Classroom
When Inquiring Minds asked teachers to envision the physical C3 classroom they told us:
I don’t see desks
Computers surrounded by kids some standing, some on high stools on the periphery of the room
Smart-boards in use
Little pods around the room, students standing or sitting
Lots of print resources displayed in interesting ways on the walls
Groups of students sitting on pillows, leaning in, engaged in discussion
Huddled groups, conducting research
A group of excited kids talking with me about a discovery they’ve made
Lots of activity
A hum of excitement (not quiet, but not noisy)
Student anchor charts hanging on the walls to help kids to start conversations
Models and examples of thoughtful, reflective student work in plain view
